Changing motion and mechanics!


Alright! Time to learn to properly use this amazing devlog feature. And also use it more often from now on!

I believe that the video speaks for itself, but I'll highlight the small changes that I'm working on and what my plans are.

Changes:

  • The character's dash lasts longer;
  • The character now can bouncy on enemies without the need for being at "Spin Attack";
  • More health!
  • The player can cancel any jump just by pressing the Down direction. It will immediatelly revert to a spin attack;
  • The character's sprite is no longer upside down during upwards Spin Attack (that was a weird decision!);

Plans:

  • More powerups and modifiers/relics based on a powerup tree (so the players can find more often powerups that maximize their previous choices, if they want it);
  • More bosses (I want to add 3 main bosses, that are unavoidable. Their appearance is going to happen between the rogue battles);
  • Add a final special boss? (I'm still thinking about it);
  • Lore? Story? Brief, but I'm heavily considering it because my dialogue and cutscene systems work very with what I already had established;
  • Polish the graphics;
  • More songs;
