Changes, fixes and improvements!


Hey, everybody!

A lot of changes were made regarding the bosses, the art and some small bug fixes. Here they are:

Bosses:

  • They are slower: they move slower (dash, jump and fall);
  • They "telegraph" their fireball attacks by poping up a small baloon with exclamation mark;
  • The duration of their fireball attacks is smaller;
  • The range of their fireball attacks is shorter;
  • Their reaction time (their next move) is longer;

Art:

  • The sprite of the protagonist is "finished";
  • A lot of trail effects and VFX were added to the player's attacks and bosses (motion and attacks);
  • The title screen art is cleaner;
  • The game cover art is "better";
  • changed the background color of the boss rooms;
  • Improved the HUD art;
  • Added particle effects to the portal, after finishing the boss fight;

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed the Title Screen Menu when the player goes back to it after starting the game, and being unable to choose an option successfully in the first try;
  • Fixed the powerup Menu when the player pauses and return back to the Title Screen;

Misc:

  • Improved the dialog text of the tutorials (easier to understand);
  • Added Controls Menu to the Title Screen Menu and In Game Menu;
  • Adjusted the protagonist's speeds (dash, jump height and motion);
  • Added a new special attack to the protagonist that consumes 1 energy slot, by pressing Down + Attack Button, the protagonist will Spin Attack significantly faster, "showering" fireballs downwards;
